The purposes of the roadshows is to interact with all current and prospective student accommodation providers.

These roadshows are part of our commitment to engage with stakeholders to find workable solution for the stability of the PSET Sector and success of all NSFAS funded students.

Students must download the NSFAS Declaration form:

This form is only for applicants who are 34 years old or younger and whose parent-child relationship with the provided parents/guardian cannot be verified by NSFAS:

Other documents that may be required, if applicable:

• Retrenchment letter
• Death certificate/s
• Divorce Decree
• Proof of legal guardianship
• Marriage certificate
• other documents may be required for appeal purposes. eg retrenchment letter

Rejected applicants who are eligible to appeal may appeal their application outcome within 30 days of receiving their application results.

The higher education sector gets new leadership

Eleven days after being inaugurated as the president of the Republic Of South Africa, Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa, announced his Cabinet on Sunday evening, June 30, 2024.The National Student Financial Aid Scheme will now report under a new Ministry, that of Higher Education, and Training led by Dr Nobuhle Nkabane and Deputy Ministers, Mr Buti Manamela and Dr Mimmy Gondwe.

• Person with a disability with a combined household income of not more than R600 000 per year or
